Scotland’s first conference dedicated to the growing importance of intrapreneurship will be hosted by The Herald on 28 August. Alongside CivTech and The Lens, SHIL are delighted to sponsor the conference and offer the unique perspectives of innovation and intrapreneurism within NHS Scotland.
The Intrapreneurial Conference will consider how internal entrepreneurship can be harnessed to develop a competitive edge and is aimed at delegates from private, public and third sector organisations.
Innovation and intrapreneurship are intrinsically linked, focussed on engaging the workforce to deliver transformational changes, finding solutions to problems and turning ideas into action. Uncovering transformational ideas from health professionals across Scotland and providing clear routes of national support to encourage, develop and bring these ideas to market is central to the work of SHIL. Through sponsorship of the conference, SHIL brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in a critical sector. Every individual in attendance, regardless of sector or industry, will be able to relate to our work in health - whether that be gaining improved appreciation of the work of NHS Scotland in driving research, innovation and developing new ways of improving patient care; or sharing our learning in driving innovation and intrapreneurism within a large, complex organisation.
Graham Watson, Executive Chairman, SHIL comments:
“Staff are an organisation's biggest asset and with over 160,000 employees across NHS Scotland it’s a rich resource of ideas and innovations. Our commitment to harnessing the talent and entrepreneurism that exists within Scotland’s largest employer is central to the aims of this first Intrapreneurship Conference which we are delighted to sponsor.
“We look forward to showcasing the many successes originating from NHS Scotland staff, encouraging a culture of intrapreneurism across all sectors and learning from others; so that we can continually support a modern, sustainable and adaptable health services with opportunities to be innovative and intrapreneurial afforded to everyone.”
