The NHS Scotland Event is the leading health Event in Scotland. It continues to be the ‘premier meeting place’ for those committed to providing sustainable high-quality health and social care services for the people of Scotland.
Following the postponement of the 2020 Event due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing challenges faced by health and social care staff, the decision was made to run the 2021 Event virtually.
SHIL will showcase its support for NHS led innovation with a virtual exhibition and posters which will include our work with:
- Health and social care professionals across NHS Scotland in response to targeted COVID-19 innovation calls
- NHS Tayside and performance manufacturer Keela international to develop a ground-breaking new device to transform CPR practice in the fight against COVID-19
- NHS Lothian and Focus Games to develop The Infection Management Game - an innovative solution to infection prevention and control training
- Scottish Ambulance Service, NHS Lothian, and OpenHouse to develop the SCRAM portfolio – a range of innovative solution to emergency anaesthesia
The NHS Scotland Event 2021 will focus on what we have learned so far during the COVID-19 pandemic: the importance of kindness, of working together, of breaking down barriers and silos, of re-discovering our shared purpose. It will showcase the work being done to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic while maintaining the progress made in redesigning services to improve access to services, integrate care, and provide the highest quality person-centered, safe and effective health and care services as we move into a post-COVID world.
