OnTrack™ Needle Guidance SystemOnTrackTM is a vascular access which has been designed to simplify access of native fistulae and grafts prior to haemodialysis.  OnTrack is designed to guide the needle along the same track, at the same angle and at the same depth every time.  Repeating the procedure when accessing the fistulae, known as the buttonhole technique, creates a permanent pathway from the skin surface to the fistula.

Accessing an established buttonhole can reduce pain associated with dialysis for the patient and, as blunt needles can be used with the buttonhole, both the risk of damaging the fistula and needle stick injury to clinical staff can be reduced.

Designed and tested by a Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Renal Dialysis Nurses and doctors, OnTrack was designed to improve the efficacy of creating buttonholes and extending the life of grafts by experienced and less experienced staff.
