The SHIL Process |

The SHIL process is really straight forward. The main steps are out lined below so you know what to expect. Step 1 If you have an idea and would like to talk to SHIL then you should submit your idea via this website. Follow this link to submit idea Step 2 One of our business development mangers will then contact you and arrange to come and meet with you at your convenience. Step 3 In collaboration with your local health board management, SHIL will assess the commercial potential of your idea and decided how best to move forward Step 4 SHIL will apply for protection where necessary on behalf of you and your health board. Step 5 Thereafter, SHIL may offer to assist in the development of your innovation by bringing in other specialists where appropriate, providing funding for development, and identifying markets and business partners interested in taking your product or technology to the market. The process varies from project to project. Remember- SHIL will also ensure that any revenue from commercialisation comes to you and your health board.
